The Gramitherm® saw
A precision tool designed for clean, easy cutting during installation.

Take advantage of our practical advice for optimum installation of our biosourced grass fibre insulation.
Gramitherm® boards, made from natural grass fibres, require a clean cut to ensure optimum installation. The GramiCut, specially designed for this material, makes the task much simpler while ensuring a professional result. It's ideal for small and medium-sized jobs. For larger jobs, we recommend using an Alligator saw (e.g.: Dewalt DCS397N), which is better suited to large volumes and repeated cuts.
The GramiCut has been developed to meet the specific requirements of the natural fibres in our panels. Unlike conventional cutting tools, it allows:
Set up your panel on a stable, flat surface to ensure a straight cut. Make sure the area is well lit and clear.
Use a ruler and a permanent marker to mark the cutting lines directly on the panel.
Guide the saw along the marked line, exerting even pressure. The blade glides easily through the fibres.
Check the accuracy of the cut and make adjustments if necessary.
Gramitherm® insulation boards, made from natural grass fibres, offer thermal performance and acoustic comfort in an environmentally friendly way. To take full advantage of their benefits, it's essential to follow good installation practices. Discover our tips for easy, quick and effective installation.
Gramitherm® panels are not only environmentally friendly, they're also very versatile. They can be used for a wide range of applications: partitions and walls, floors and ceilings, attics and roofs, external or acoustic insulation. Their lightness and flexibility make them an ideal choice for quick and easy installation.
Make sure the surface where you are going to lay the panels is clean, dry and level. Repair any unevenness and remove any moisture before you start.
Using the GramiCut, cut the panels to the precise dimensions of the area to be insulated to avoid thermal bridges.
Lay the panels carefully: insert them well between the studs for even insulation. Make sure the panels fit snugly, with no gaps between them. Start at the bottom for the walls.
If necessary, add a vapour barrier and cover with a facing (plasterboard, panelling, etc.) to protect the insulation, while complying with local standards to ensure the safety and durability of the work.
Gramitherm® panels are lightweight and do not require gloves. However, it is strongly recommended to wear glasses when installing horizontally.
Ensure that the panels fit tightly, with no gaps between them.
Store panels in a dry place, away from moisture, until they are installed.
Membranes play a key role in the efficiency of an insulation system. They complement the performance of Gramitherm® panels by ensuring airtightness and water vapour management. This combination optimises thermal comfort and extends the life of the materials. To guarantee quality, Gramitherm® works with Ampack, a recognised expert in professional membranes.
Reduces heat loss by blocking infiltration.
Prevention of condensation and mould in walls.
Shields against moisture, wind and dust.
Thanks to this partnership, we can offer membranes that are perfectly adapted to Gramitherm® panels. Ampack supplies high-performance vapour barriers, rainscreens and waterproofing strips, guaranteeing optimum synergy and tailor-made technical support.

To help you use our grass fibre insulation board, Gramitherm® organises practical training sessions dedicated to cutting and installation. Whether you're a professional or an individual, our sessions will help you master the right techniques and ensure optimal installation.
